Pet Parenting Class Grade Levels
Our modular curriculum — 8 progressive Grade Levels from Pre-School through Dogtorate. Every level runs weekly at both locations.
Pre-School
Manners, socialization, proper play, and confidence-building for puppies and reactive adults.
12 new behaviors →Kindergarten
Heel, place, stay, and free — the behavioral foundations that anchor everything that comes next.
13 new behaviors →Elementary
Reset, Done, Leave It, Off — advanced commands and impulse control for daily life.
17 new behaviors →Middle-School
Out, Flip to Heel, off-leash work, grooming and object desensitization.
16 new behaviors →High-School
Retrieve, pacing, pivots, and advanced tricks — practical skills with emotional bonding.
14 new behaviors →College
Send Out, Middle, distance commands, and intricate tricks — high-level obedience and problem-solving.
16 new behaviors →Masters
Figure 8, Orbit, Freestyle Bridging, and household tasks like Put Toys Away.
17 new behaviors →Dogtorate
Frisbee, Leg Weaves, Cross Paws, and athletic challenges — the highest level of training.

Beyond the weekly schedule, we run seasonal clinics, testing days, and community events all year.
Rattlesnake Avoidance Clinics
One of Arizona's most critical training investments. Live, safely-muzzled rattlesnakes teach a life-saving aversion response. ~15-20 min per dog. Annual refreshers recommended.
Puppy Socials
Supervised, off-leash socialization for puppies under 6 months. Builds confidence around new dogs, people, and surfaces during the critical socialization window. Trainer-supervised every session.
CGC Testing Days
The AKC Canine Good Citizen test is the gold standard for well-mannered dogs. Hosted quarterly at our Scottsdale location by AKC-certified evaluators. Pass and earn the official CGC title.
Holiday & Seasonal Workshops
Trick training workshops, trail manners hikes, holiday photo sessions, and community adoption days with local rescue partners. Follow us for announcements.
What to Bring to Your First Class
Whether you're starting at Pre-School or jumping in at Elementary, every Pet Parenting Class session needs the same gear.
- Your dog on a 6-foot leash — no retractable leashes, please.
- A flat collar or front-clip harness — your trainer will recommend the best fit at your first session.
- High-value training treats — small, soft, and something your dog loves (hot dogs, cheese, or commercial training treats).
- A treat pouch or small bag — keeps treats accessible and your hands free.
- Water and a portable bowl — essential for Arizona's warm months.
- Proof of current vaccinations — Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella required for all participants.
- Comfortable shoes + weather-appropriate clothing — many classes include outdoor work.
- Patience and a good attitude — your dog will feed off your energy. First class is about building a foundation, not perfection.
