About Our Dog Behavior Camp in Arizona
Fixing dog behaviors is our core business. Partners Dog Training has been addressing behavioral problems since 1997 and is referred by 50+ veterinary practices across the Phoenix metro area. Our experience is unparalleled in the industry — with 70,000+ dogs trained, there is virtually no behavioral scenario we haven’t seen and successfully addressed. Behavior Camp addresses serious dog behavioral issues like separation anxiety, leash reactivity, fear of other dogs, resource guarding, destructive chewing, growling, and socialization issues.
Unparalleled Experience
At Partners, we succeed with more dog training cases than any other dog training school in the country. The fact that thousands of dogs have gone through this program makes us uniquely qualified to correct any problem and take obedience to stellar levels.
Top Of the Line Training
Behavior Camp fast-tracks all of the goals you have and more. We achieve results with even the most stubborn dogs and address everything from nuisance behaviors to severe reactivity.
All Shapes And Sizes. All Problems.
Every dog is different. At Partners, we factor in personality, breed, age, and many other variables to determine the best path to success. The key is cooperation and transparency with us and listening to our guidance moving forward.
Industry-defining Strategies

How Does Behavior Camp Work?
Assessment + Check-in
- Prior to any dog coming to us for training, we verify vaccination records, complete any pre-check-in forms, and potentially schedule an assessment to ensure the best path forward.
- Behavior Camp begins with a one-hour check-in lesson with your responsible instructor.
- This gives you an opportunity to meet us and establish goals for the program.
- This also gives us an opportunity to meet you and your pup in order to see if we are the best fit for you.
- Once you’ve had a chance to ask any questions and address any concerns, we will check your dog in for training, go over any feeding/medical protocols, and then get to work!
Training + Demos
- Next, your dog will start their training.
- In Behavior Camp, your pup will receive over an hour of active training each day.
- They will also receive hours of socialization each day due to the immersive aspect of camp.
- In between training sessions, your dog will be crated on the Training Floor. This practices “modeling” which is when the training happening around them actually rubs off on the dog watching.
- You can also add All Day Play, where they can socialize, play, and practice proper manners.
- Or you can add some Treadmill Training to drain energy, build confidence, and maybe shed a few pounds!
- During the training period, you will receive progress reports, videos, pictures, and even come in for a private lesson.
Transition
- The last step is to transition the training we have instilled over to you.
- In addition to the online Pet Parent Guide you also have access to a plethora of other training resources.
- This is probably the most critical step as it involves teaching you to maintain the behaviors we have established at the school.
- With more private lessons and 8 Pet Parenting Group Classes, we will guide you through the process of managing your dog through all types of scenarios.
- As we say, 90% of our job is training you.

What Behavior Camp Families Are Saying
“Our French Bulldog had serious anxiety and would bark and lunge at every dog we passed on the street. After Behavior Camp the difference is remarkable — we can now walk through our North Phoenix neighborhood without a meltdown. The trainers were honest about what to expect and delivered on every promise.”
– Patricia V.
“Rufus came back from 3 weeks at Behavior Camp a completely different dog. The destructive chewing, the marking inside the house, the obsessive barking at the fence — all addressed. Partners clearly understands how to get to the root of the problem, not just mask it.”
– James W.
“I was referred to Partners by my vet in Scottsdale after our rescue Pit mix had bitten twice. Behavior Camp gave us our dog back. The trainers kept us updated with videos throughout the stay and the private lessons at the end made sure we could handle him confidently at home.”
– Nadia F.

Our Commitment to You
Training changes both ends of the leash. We do the heavy lifting — but lasting results require your commitment to practice and maintain what we build together.
Dogs are living beings, not machines. Progress isn't always linear. Some behaviors take longer than others, and regression happens when practice stops. That's why we include Pet Parenting Classes, follow-up lessons, and DaySchool — to give you the tools and support to maintain what we build.
We've trained over 70,000 dogs with a success rate that speaks for itself — nearly 2,000 five-star reviews and more awards than any dog school in Arizona. When you commit to the process and follow through with what we teach, the results follow.
The Work Doesn't Stop at Graduation
What Comes After Behavior Camp?
Behavior Camp addressed the root causes — the reactivity, the anxiety, the destructive patterns. But the nervous system that learned those behaviors doesn't forget overnight. Continued, intentional exposure is what seals the change for good.
Your Behavior Camp graduate needs structured environments where they can practice calm, appropriate responses around other dogs and people — repeatedly, under trainer supervision, with you learning right alongside them.
- DaySchool Membership — 2–5 days per week of supervised socialization and structured training. For behavior graduates, DaySchool is the ideal controlled environment to continue desensitization and reinforce the calm, confident behaviors built in camp. Our trainers know your dog's history and can work around their specific triggers.
- Pet Parenting Classes — Weekly group classes to strengthen your handling skills. Managing a dog with a behavior history requires consistent technique — these classes keep your timing sharp and your confidence high.
- Dog School Bus — A monthly add-on for DaySchool members that eliminates the daily logistical barrier to consistency. Pick-up available from stops across Scottsdale, Cave Creek, and North Phoenix.
- Private Lessons — One-on-one follow-up for specific real-world scenarios. If a particular trigger or location is still causing stress, private lessons let us address it directly with you present.
Behavior change is a long game. We built the foundation — DaySchool is how you build the house on top of it.
