A Complete Picture of Your Dog
What Is the PD360 Assessment?
The PD360 Assessment is a comprehensive behavioral evaluation conducted by one of our senior trainers. It goes far beyond a simple temperament test — we evaluate your dog's full behavioral profile so we can recommend the exact program, duration, and approach that will produce the best results.
During the assessment, we observe your dog's reactions to real-world stimuli, test their obedience foundation, evaluate their socialization level, and have an in-depth conversation with you about your dog's history, home environment, and your goals.
The PD360 is required before enrollment in Behavior Camp and Transform Camp. It's also highly recommended for any dog owner who isn't sure which program is the right fit, or whose dog has any behavioral concerns beyond basic obedience.
How PD360 Works
Book Your PD360
Call us at 480.595.6700 or submit a request online to schedule your PD360 Assessment. We'll find a time that works at either our Scottsdale or Cave Creek facility. The assessment takes 60–90 minutes, and we ask that the primary handler attend.
Meet With Our Team
On assessment day, you'll meet with one of our senior trainers. We'll talk through your dog's history, daily routine, triggers, and your goals. Then we'll work with your dog directly — observing their behavior, testing their responses, and evaluating their temperament in a controlled environment.
Get Your Custom Recommendation
After the assessment, your trainer will walk you through their findings — what they observed, what your dog needs, and which program will deliver the best outcomes. You'll receive an honest assessment of your dog's prognosis and a clear recommendation for next steps.
Enroll Same-Day and Save
If you choose to enroll in a program on the same day as your PD360, the full $109 assessment fee is credited toward your program cost. No pressure — but if you're ready to move forward, you won't pay a dollar more than you would have without the assessment.
What We Assess During PD360
The PD360 is the most thorough behavioral evaluation available in Arizona. Here's what we cover.
Behavior Profile
We evaluate your dog's baseline behaviors — how they respond to commands, how they handle frustration, their impulse control, and their general demeanor. This tells us where your dog is starting from and how far we need to go.
Socialization Level
How does your dog interact with other dogs? With strangers? With children? We test your dog's comfort level in social scenarios to determine whether they need confidence building, boundary setting, or both.
Obedience Foundation
We assess what commands your dog already knows, how reliably they respond, and where the gaps are. This helps us determine whether your dog needs foundational training or more advanced behavior work.
Triggers & Reactivity
We identify what sets your dog off — other dogs, strangers, sounds, movement, resource guarding, territorial behavior — and how intense the reaction is. This is critical for building the right training plan.
Medical & Physical Factors
Pain, medication, age, breed tendencies, and physical limitations all influence behavior. We factor in your dog's health history to ensure our training plan is safe and appropriate.
Owner Goals & Lifestyle
Your goals matter as much as your dog's behavior. We talk through your expectations, daily routine, household dynamics, and what success looks like for your family — so our recommendation actually fits your life.
Is This Assessment Right for Your Dog?
Who Needs PD360?
The PD360 Assessment is required for any dog enrolling in Behavior Camp or Transform Camp. These programs address complex behavioral issues, and the assessment ensures we build the right plan from day one.
It's also strongly recommended for any dog with behavioral concerns beyond basic manners — reactivity, anxiety, fear, aggression, resource guarding, or any issue that has you worried or frustrated.
And it's helpful for any owner who isn't sure which program fits. If you've been going back and forth between Foundation Camp and Behavior Camp, or if you're not sure whether your dog's issues are 'bad enough' for a specialized program, PD360 gives you a clear, expert answer.
Your Custom Plan
What Happens After Your Assessment
After we complete your PD360, you won't leave with vague advice or a one-size-fits-all recommendation. Here's what you'll walk away with:
- Personalized program recommendation — We'll tell you exactly which program (Foundation, Behavior, or Transform Camp) is the best match for your dog, and why.
- Custom training plan outline — You'll understand what the training process will look like, how long it will take, and what milestones to expect.
- Honest assessment of prognosis — We'll be straight with you about what's realistic, what's going to take work, and what outcomes you can expect. No sugar-coating, no overselling.
If you enroll same-day, your $109 assessment fee is credited toward the program. If you need time to think, that's perfectly fine — your PD360 results are on file whenever you're ready.
PD360 Assessment — Frequently Asked Questions
Plan for 60–90 minutes. The assessment includes a conversation with you about your dog's history and goals, hands-on evaluation of your dog's behavior, and a detailed walkthrough of our findings and recommendation. We don't rush it — every dog deserves a thorough evaluation.
Yes. We strongly recommend that the primary handler attend the PD360 Assessment. Part of the evaluation includes observing how your dog interacts with you, and the conversation about your dog's history and home environment is essential to building an accurate picture. If there are multiple handlers in the household, it's great to have them there too.
The $109 assessment fee is non-refundable, but it is fully credited toward any program you enroll in on the same day. If you decide to enroll at a later date, the assessment fee is not credited — but your PD360 results remain on file and will inform your training plan whenever you're ready.
No. The PD360 Assessment is required for both Behavior Camp and Transform Camp. These programs address complex behavioral issues, and enrolling a dog without a thorough evaluation would be irresponsible — both for your dog and for the other dogs in our facility. The assessment protects everyone and ensures we build the right plan from the start.
Absolutely. We have assessed thousands of dogs with aggression, reactivity, bite histories, and severe behavioral issues. Our trainers are experienced in handling dogs safely, and our facility is set up to manage high-risk assessments. Just let us know about your dog's behavior when you book so we can prepare accordingly.
That's a great outcome. If we determine that your dog's issues can be addressed through Foundation Camp, DaySchool, group classes, or private lessons, we'll recommend the most effective and cost-efficient path. We would rather match you with the right solution than sell you a more expensive one you don't need. That's the whole point of PD360.
